South Korea39;s techheavy index gained 1.4, while Taiwan rose 1 to a threemonth high. MSCI39;s broadest index of AsiaPacific shares outside Japan added 0.9, and Chinese blue chips gained 0.2. Japan39;s Nikkei was shut, but futures rose 0.2.
